An unknown assailant has bombed a police station in Russia’s Voronezh region, leaving at least one officer seriously injured.

Local police released a statement saying that ‘An unknown person entered the territory of the district police department in Liski, Voronezh region, today at 05:30 [Moscow time], injured a police officer and disappeared by car.’ It also said they were on the hunt for the suspect.

Russia’s Investigative Committee said the assailant had previously attacked a neighboring family, killing at least one of the members. There are four active criminal cases on the incident.

The suspect is believed to be a resident of the nearby Kamensky district. The motive for the bomb attack is unknown.
